The origins of Global Exchange are thrilling. We operate in the currency exchange sector since 1996. Our company was founded in Spain, in Fuentes de Oñoro (Salamanca), a border town in the frontier with Portugal, where the owners, of the company, the Alanís family, developed different tourist-oriented businesses.
In 1996 they began this new line of business to serve the currency exchange needs of foreign tourists, with the aim to offer a high quality professional service. In just 3 years they consolidated a network of 16 branches all over the Spanish territory.
With the arrival of the euro, our company chose to start its internationalization. In 2001 we were the only internationalized company in the sector, meeting this challenge with the inauguration of 11 new branches at the 6 main airports in Argentina. Since then, in just fifteen years, we have grown to operate in 54 International Airports in 19 countries and 5 continents as well as many tourist resorts in Central America.
The unstoppable expansion of Global Exchange has been possible thanks to our business and our organization itself, which has been adding up human and IT resources throughout the years.
All along our growth and expansion our seven corporate principles have guided our steps, under the supervision of the Board of Directors.
- Strict compliance with ethics, legality and transparency.
- Importance of human capital.
- Excellence in Customer Service.
- Constant growth and expansion.
- Development and implementation of new technologies.
- Impeccable corporate image.
