Where can I find a Global Exchange branch?

Global Exchange is present in 20 countries, in 5 continents, with a network of 220 branches located at more than 54 International Airports. Currently we are present in Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Jamaica, Jordan, Mexico, Morocco, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago and Uruguay.

You can reach us either via our website or by dialling our toll free number 900 855 550 (34 913 05 51 67 from abroad Spain). We will be happy to answer all your questions and suggestions.

Which is the telephone number when calling from outside Spain?

If you are calling from outside Spain, our Customer Service number is (+34) 91 305 51 67, from 9 am to 9 pm, from Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 7 pm if you are calling on Saturdays, Sundays or Spanish bank holidays.

Where are your global headquarters?

We are headquartered at calle Primera nº 17-19 del Parque empresarial el Montalvo III, en Carbajosa de la Sagrada, Salamanca, Spain. We have another headquarters office at calle General Perón, 38 de Madrid, Spain.

What are the opening hours of your branches?

Our branches at the Airports remain open during all Airport operating hours so that no passenger needing to change currency is left unattended.

Which is your legal name?

The legal name of Global Exchange is Eurodivisas, S.A. and its registered office is Plaza de España 3, 37480 Fuentes de Oñoro (Salamanca), Spain, VAT number A37310323.

Travel Money at branches

What advantages do I get when changing with you?

When you change with Global Exchange, you make sure you are having a great rate and also you have the peace of mind of operating with one of the three leading companies worldwide. However, we may apply an exchange fee in some countries. Check with our Customer Service Representatives at the counter.

Do you charge any commission?

Generally we do not charge any commission for our exchange transactions. We only charge a small trading margin that will be smaller the higher the amount is, or if you decide to change your currency online instead of doing it at our branches (airports, hotels and shopping centres). We may apply an exchange fee in some countries. Check with our Customer Service Representatives at the counter.

What methods of payment do you accept at your branches?

In order to offer you the best possible service we allow many methods to pay for your travel money: Cash, Visa or Mastercard credit cards, debit cards such as Visa Electron and traveller cheques (though this can vary from one country to another).

Which Tax Free companies do you work with?

At our Airport branches in Spain we partner with El Corte Inglés, Tax Refund, Premier Tax Free, La Caixa Innova Tax free and Tax Free World Wide. Please note that Global Exchange acts as a mere agent or intermediary for these tax free companies, and our sole function is to refund you your money in cash. For any specific questions on the tax refund process please contact any of the companies above.

Online Travel Money

Can I order my money online?

Yes. Global Exchange has an online money order service for home and workplace delivery or for in-store collection that gives you the best exchange rate (more holiday cash for the same price). Save time and relax, as you will have the travel money you need for your trip abroad.

Is the exchange rate in your website the same that at your branches?

No, the exchange rate we apply in our website and the one in our branches is different. When you place your order via our web site, we guarantee you the best exchange rate. However, if the day when you collect your order the rate at our branches is better than the rate of your order we will apply the best rate for you. However, we may apply an exchange fee in some countries. Check with our Customer Service Representatives at the counter.

Do I get Avios changing my money with Global Exchange?

Yes, when exchanging a minimum amount of currency (which depends on the country) at any Global Exchange branch or online, you will get Avios. Do not forget to take your card when you change currency at any of our branches or enter your number at the confirmation page of your order or money order at our website in Spain.

 

I showed my Iberia Plus card at the transaction, but I do not see the points added to my balance. Why is that?

Avios can take up to two months to get recorded. If after this time you still do not see them, please contact our Customer Service Department through the online form.

Please include all relevant information concerning your transaction, such as your full name, the receipt number, branch of transaction and identification document you used.

When I did my transaction I did not have my Iberia Plus card with me. How can I earn those points?

To earn the points missed when you did the transaction, send us a scanned copy of the card and your receipt number through the email: atencioncliente@grupoglobalexchange.com.

What is the Tax Refund service?

If you are not a resident of the European Union and you have been travelling in Spain or any other European Union country, you are entitled to receive at the airport the taxes you have paid in your shopping in the country.

In Spain, you can have the taxes refunded for purchases over €90.15. Also, please note that the customs stamp cannot be later than 3 months since the issue date of the form.

Globalcard

What is the Globalcard prepaid card?

Globalcard is the Global Exchange’s prepaid card with a balance in euros that you can convert into American dollars, (USD), Canadian dollars (CAD), Pounds sterling (GBP) or Swiss francs (CHF).

This is an easy way to travel with money without having to carry cash with you.
