  • The Spanish multinational arrives to the great Turkish city and it will open new branches at the second biggest airport in Istanbul, Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.
  • With this new awarding, the company will extend its presence to two of the most important international airports in Turkey, Antalya and Sabiha Gökçen.

Salamanca, 28 August 2018.- The Spanish multinational Global Exchange will start offering its currency exchange services at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.

Located in the touristic capital of Turkey, this airport is a strategic spot because it is the second most important airport in the country, with more than 30 million passengers, of which 10.3 millions are international passengers.

Global Exchange has been operating at Antalya International Airport since 2017, and with this new awarding, it reaffirms its commitment to staying in the country, opening four new bureaux de change to provide its services for the next seven years.

In the words of the Global Exchange President, Isidoro J. Alanís, “having been granted the foreign currency exchange service in this important international airport of Sabiha Gökçen reaffirms the trust that our company has in this subsidiary due to the tourist development that it will undergo in the following years with the devaluation of the Turkish lira. We are sure that it will become one of the most important countries in terms of tourism reception in the world.”

The planned investment for this new airport is estimated at about 2 million euros, and it will mean an increase of 40 new employees at the Turkish subsidiary, with the objective of opening the four new branches before the end of the year.
