Which is the telephone number when calling from outside Spain?

If you are calling from outside Spain, our Customer Service number is (+34) 91 305 51 67, from 9 am to 9 pm, from Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 7 pm if you are calling on Saturdays, Sundays or Spanish bank holidays.

Travel Money at branches

What advantages do I get when changing with you?

When you change with Global Exchange, you make sure you are having a great rate and also you have the peace of mind of operating with one of the three leading companies worldwide. However, we may apply an exchange fee in some countries. Check with our Customer Service Representatives at the counter.

Do you charge any commission?

Generally we do not charge any commission for our exchange transactions. We only charge a small trading margin that will be smaller the higher the amount is, or if you decide to change your currency online instead of doing it at our branches (airports, hotels and shopping centres). We may apply an exchange fee in some countries. Check with our Customer Service Representatives at the counter.

What methods of payment do you accept at your branches?

In order to offer you the best possible service we allow many methods to pay for your travel money: Cash, Visa or Mastercard credit cards, debit cards such as Visa Electron and traveller cheques (though this can vary from one country to another).

Which Tax Free companies do you work with?

At our Airport branches in Spain (Barcelona, Madrid and Tenerife South) we partner with Travel Tax Free, Global Blue, Innova, Planet y Tax Refund. Please note that Global Exchange acts as a mere agent or intermediary for these tax free companies, and our sole function is to refund you your money in cash. For any specific questions on the tax refund process please contact any of the companies above.

Online Travel Money

Can I order my money online?

Yes. Global Exchange has an online money order service for home and workplace delivery or for in-store collection that gives you the best exchange rate (more holiday cash for the same price). Save time and relax, as you will have the travel money you need for your trip abroad.

Is the exchange rate in your website the same that at your branches?

No, the exchange rate we apply in our website and the one in our branches is different. When you place your order via our web site, we guarantee you the best exchange rate. However, if the day when you collect your order the rate at our branches is better than the rate of your order we will apply the best rate for you. However, we may apply an exchange fee in some countries. Check with our Customer Service Representatives at the counter.

What is the Tax Refund service?

If you are not a resident of the European Union and you have been travelling in Spain or any other European Union country, you are entitled to receive at the airport the taxes you have paid in your shopping in the country.

In Spain, you can request a VAT refund for any purchase made if you request a tax free invoice in the establishment and then, before returning to your country of origin, you stamp it in Customs within 3 months of the purchase.
