The Professional Association of Computer Engineers of Castilla y León will award the Salamanca-based company the i3 Award for the Most Relevant Company or Organization in Information Technology on May 16, on the occasion of the Computer Engineering Night of Castilla y León.
The collegiate body has recognized Global Exchange's evolution, its international expansion and commitment to talent, with 120 university graduates working in the group's technology division in Salamanca, GETD (Global Exchange Digital Technologies).
Manuel Martin Portillo, Corporate Technology Director of Global Exchange, has valued the award as a "recognition of many years of work betting on talent, innovation and a business model where technology is the heart of our growth".
Global Exchange has been recognized with the i3 Award for the Most Relevant Company or Organization in Information Technology. It is an award given by the Professional Association of Computer Engineers of Castilla y León, which will be presented at the Computer Engineering Night of Castilla y León on May 16, an event that highlights the excellence and dedication of the most outstanding professionals and institutions in the technology sector in the community.
The choice of Global Exchange responds to the consolidation of the Salamanca-based company as an international reference in technology-based currency exchange, deeply rooted in Castilla y León. The Professional Association of Computer Engineers of Castilla y León highlights how, from Global Exchange's headquarters in Salamanca, the company has expanded worldwide, currently operating in 26 countries, with a workforce of 2,600 employees and a portfolio of 12.5 million customers, reaching an annual business volume of 2,300 million euros.
