Global Exchange has officially opened its doors in New Zealand, its 27th country. This is a particularly significant achievement for the company, which not only strengthens its presence in the region but also represents an important step in its expansive and operational capacity.
Since the announcement of the official contract signing to begin operations in New Zealand on April 25th, the professional team of the Spanish multinational has worked tirelessly to make this project a reality in record time. Global Exchange is now operational at Auckland International Airport with 8 currency exchange offices and 8 ATMs.
New Zealand joins Global Exchange's growing network in the Asia-Pacific region, which includes Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and India. This strategic expansion firmly positions the Spanish company in one of the most dynamic and demanding areas of the world, where it now has a total of 36 offices, 21 ATMs, and 24 automated currency exchange dispensers.
Santiago Calderón Ruigómez, Retail Business Director of the Global Exchange Group, highlighted that "The case of New Zealand is an excellent example of operational agility and international coordination. We have been able to adapt to the most demanding standards in record time, which demonstrates the maturity of our processes and teams. And we have also been able, from our global headquarters in Spain, to bring our business model to the other side of the world, to our antipodes." He also noted that "This opening is further proof that together we can overcome any challenge we set for ourselves. Let's continue working with the same passion and dedication to offer the best service to travelers around the world."
