Global Exchange strengthens ties with the University of Salamanca to promote innovation and talent.

- The University of Salamanca and Global Exchange explore new projects and knowledge transfer models.
Isidoro J. Alanís, President and CEO of Global Exchange Group, held an important working meeting with Juan Manuel Corchado, Rector of the University of Salamanca, at the facilities of Global Exchange's technology division, GETD (Global Exchange Digital Technologies). The meeting reaffirms their mutual commitment to the continuous pursuit of excellence, technological development, and innovation.
Also present at this working session were Carlos Martín Tobalina, Deputy Minister of Economy and Competitiveness of the Junta de Castilla y León, and Manuel Martín Portillo, Corporate Technology Director of Global Exchange Group. The work focused on exploring new joint projects and knowledge transfer models with three fundamental pillars as protagonists: Global Exchange, the University of Salamanca, and the Regional Government.
During the visit, the rector and the deputy minister were able to learn about the different services offered by this Salamanca-based company, a world leader in currency exchange services. Currently, Global Exchange has a presence in 28 countries across five continents and has 470 currency exchange offices spread across 80 international airports, cities of tourist interest, hotels, and ports. Its 2,600 employees serve 12.5 million customers worldwide.
Global Exchange's management capacity through technology and innovation was also showcased. Highlighting the fundamental role of GETD (Global Exchange Digital Technologies) as a container and receiver of top-level talent that enables the development of cutting-edge and innovative projects for Global Exchange worldwide. Currently, more than 130 professionals specialized in different areas such as cybersecurity, infrastructure, systems, applications, or AI and data governance work there.
Corchado and Alanís have emphasized the commitment of the academic institution and the company to the educational, economic, and social development of Salamanca and their interest in proactively reinforcing initiatives that improve the training of young university students.
A collaboration with the University of Salamanca that opens new opportunities to continue growing and improving Global Exchange's services worldwide.
